UPDATE (Tuesday, 10/9/18, 9:00 AM CT): The individual injured in this incident has been identified as Gregory Tremaine Davis (DOB 2-26-77), who has since been released from the hospital.

At the request of 22nd District Attorney General Brent Cooper, TBI Special Agents are investigating the circumstances that led to an officer-involved shooting in Pulaski Friday evening.

Preliminary information indicates that the Pulaski Police Department received a report of a reckless vehicle in the area of Robin Hood Road. Upon encountering the vehicle near the intersection of Robin Hood Road and Lynne Road, officers initiated a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop and drove into the yard of a residence in an attempt to flee. As he drove back onto the roadway, he reportedly struck a parked police vehicle and proceeded to drive toward an officer standing nearby. A second officer fired shots at the driver, striking him. The vehicle crashed a short distance away. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No officers were injured during the incident.

At this time, the investigation remains active and ongoing. TBI Agents continue to gather relevant interviews and evidence. Throughout the process, investigative findings will be shared with the District Attorney General for his further review and consideration.

As is our policy, the TBI does not identify the officers involved in these types of incidents and instead refers questions of that nature to their respective departments.

Updates on this investigation will be posted online at TBINewsroom.com.
