Technical Services Unit – Digital Forensics

Job Duties:
Conducts investigations in which computers, cell phones, or digital media were used during the commission of a crime. Digital Forensics Special Agent-Criminal Investigators acquire digital evidence through onsite and lab searches, conduct examinations and analysis of all types of digital evidence, prepare reports detailing the results of findings, provide expert courtroom testimony, and advise investigators and District Attorneys on the availability and reliability of digital evidence
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
15 hours of collegiate level computer related training OR at least three years’ work experience in an Information Technology role. Experience with cell phone toll records analysis. Additionally, possession of an advanced IT related certification or training is preferred (e.g., CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+, CEH, GSEC, CISSP, etc.).
Monthly Salary: $3,777 – $5,860

TBI SPECIAL AGENT CRIMINAL INVESTIGATOR 1
Technical Services Unit – ICAC and Cyber Investigations
TBI Headquarters

Job Duties:
Responsible for conducting criminal investigations involving Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and Cyber Crime violations. ICAC investigations include possession, distribution and manufacture of child pornography. Cyber Crime Investigations, as part of the FBI Joint Cyber Crime Task Force (JCCTF) include, but are not limited to, Business Email Compromises, Ransomware, Online threats, Account Takeovers, and Money Mule Networks. Conducts interviews and interrogations, arrests suspects, and operate surveillance equipment. Prepares investigative reports to be used by the District Attorney General’s Office and/or U.S. Attorney Office for prosecution.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
