KNOXVILLE – A joint investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Bean Station Police Department has resulted in two brothers being charged with murder in connection to an incident that occurred Saturday.

At the request of 4th District Attorney General James Dunn, TBI Special Agents joined the Bean Station Police Department in investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Joshua L. Beasley (DOB 1/16/90). On Saturday morning, officers with the Bean Station Police Department responded to a home in the 200 block of Ned Clark Road on a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located Beasley at a neighboring residence suffering from apparent stab wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information leading to Travis L. Peters (DOB 10/8/80) and Daniel C. Peters (DOB 2/9/83) as the individuals responsible for the crime.

Warrants were obtained charging Travis and Daniel Peters with one count of First Degree Murder. On Saturday afternoon, Travis Peters (below, left) was arrested and booked into the Grainger County Jail on a $2 million bond. Daniel Peters (below, right) remains at large.
