JOHNSON CITY – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has led to an indictment of a Sullivan County woman accused of falsifying a report alleging she was sexually assaulted by Bristol, Tennessee officers.
On June 27th, at the request of 2nd District Attorney General Barry Staubus, TBI Special Agents began investigating the allegations against the Bristol officers. Rebekah Ann Deahl stated that she was sexually assaulted by officers during an undercover prostitution sting in which she had been arrested. Upon being questioned by Special Agents, Deahl, 31, of Bristol, admitted her allegations against the officers were false.
On July 12th, the Sullivan County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Deahl with Filing a False Report. Today, Deahl surrendered herself to authorities and was booked into the Sullivan County Jail on a $12,000 bond.
