JOB DUTIES

Responsible for analyzing physical, biological, or chemical evidence submitted to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation; and composing technical laboratory reports describing the results of tests. Uses and maintains advanced scientific instrumentation. Consults with criminal court attorneys, and testifies in local, state, and federal courts on the results of forensic analysis. Serves as a consultant to law enforcement investigators across the state. Responsible for crime scene investigation requiring 24/7 on-call status on a rotating basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, mathematics, or other natural or physical sciences; medical technology; forensic science, criminalistics, or other forensic related areas; including a minimum of thirty-six quarter hours in chemistry.

MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: $3,777 – $5,860

Administrative Services Manager
Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU)TBI Headquarters, Nashville

JOB DUTIES

Responsible for the daily supervision and performance management of eight non-commissioned employees.  Tracks grant expenditures, to include preparation of draft budgets for upcoming years; oversees procurement of equipment for the operation of the MFCU; and participates in the management decisions affecting all aspects of unit operations.  Communicates and coordinates with other agencies involved in the oversight of healthcare delivery in the State of Tennessee.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree AND experience equivalent to substantial (five or more years of) full-time increasingly responsible professional staff administrative experience including at least, one year of supervisory experience.

Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub professional, paraprofessional, or professional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.

Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in public administration, business administration, or other acceptable field may be substituted for the required non specialized experience on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years. OR

Five or more years of increasingly responsible professional administrative services experience with the State of Tennessee including, at least, one year of supervisory experience.

MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: $ 4,050- $ 6,480
