JACKSON – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in a Benton County woman being indicted on charges of stealing thousands of dollars from her former employer.
At the request of 24th District Attorney General Matt Stowe, TBI Special Agents, with the assistance of investigators with the Camden Police Department, began investigating Stephanie Marie Wilson on January 27th. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that Wilson, who was a receptionist for a doctor’s office called “The Berry Clinic”, collected more than $7,400 through fraudulent credit card transactions from June 2015 through December 2015.
On Tuesday, the Benton County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Wilson, 55, with three counts of Theft over $1,000. This afternoon, Wilson was booked at the Benton County Jail and released after posting a $10,000 bond.
