MEMPHIS-The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Haywood County woman, following a four-month drug investigation.
In May 2013, at the request of the Brownsville Police Department and District Attorney General Garry Brown, the TBI began investigating Karen Beaird King.
On several occasions, from May to September of 2013, an undercover TBI agent made multiple purchases of Oxycodone from King.
On Monday, March 31st, the Haywood County Grand Jury returned indictments on the 50-year-old, charging her with two counts of Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance (Oxycodone) and two counts of Sale of Schedule II Controlled Substance (Oxycodone). King was arrested Monday night by the Haywood County Sheriff’s Department.
At the time of this release, King was being held in the Haywood County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
