NASHVILLE- Special Agents of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested a Trousdale County Corrections Officer for Misuse of Information last night.
On February 7, 2014, and at the request of the Office of District Attorney General Tommy Thompson, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation began an investigation of a suspended Trousdale County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Officer, Donna Marshall, age 43, into allegations of misusing county resources.
On January 17, 2014, the investigation indicated that Donna Marshall misused county resources by gaining an individual’s information from their driving record and then using that information to gain leverage in an attempt to coerce the individual to participate in tax fraud, which would financially benefit Marshall.
On March 21, 2014, Marshall was arrested and charged with one count of Misuse of Official Information. She is being held at the Trousdale County Jail on a $500 bond. This investigation is still active and ongoing.
