Ashland City- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 4 o’clock this morning.

At the request of the District Attorney General, TBI agents have launched a shooting investigation with assistance from the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office. An adult male victim, unknown age, drove himself to Centennial Medical Center in Ashland City after being shot several times. Investigators have located a crime scene in the area of Petway Road and Harpeth Crossings in Cheatham County. An adult male suspect is in custody of the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office. The motive and specific circumstances surrounding this shooting is under investigation. The identities of the victim and suspect are being withheld at this time.  This investigation is still in the very early stages. Any additional information will be released at a later time.
