MACON COUNTY – An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Lafayette man.

In April, at the request of 15th Judicial District Attorney General Jason Lawson, TBI agents began investigating allegations involving Trinity King (DOB 7/16/2004). During the course of the investigation, agents learned that King engaged in sexual contact with a minor on multiple occasions between October 2024 through December 2025.

On Wednesday, the Macon County Grand Jury returned indictments, charging King with 10 counts of Statutory Rape. On Friday, TBI special agents and deputies with the Macon County Sheriff’s Office arrested King  and transported him to the Macon County Jail, where he was booked on a $75,000 bond.

The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct, not evidence. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
