HANCOCK COUNTY – An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the indictment and arrest of a Sneedville man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl.
In March, at the request of 3rd Judicial District Attorney General Dan Armstrong, TBI agents began investigating allegations involving Timothy Ryan Gibson (DOB: 08/28/97). During the investigation, agents gathered evidence indicating that Gibson inappropriately touched a child at a residence in Sneedville in November 2025.
On October 5th, the Hancock County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Timothy Gibson with one count of Aggravated Sexual Battery. He was arrested and booked into the Hancock County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
At this time, the investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges are pending.
