WASHINGTON COUNTY – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has led to the arrest of a Jonesborough woman accused of providing false information to authorities.
In December, at the request of 1st District Attorney General Ken Baldwin, TBI Special Agents began investigating a tip that was sent to state authorities involving allegations of abuse and animal cruelty against a Washington County man. During the course of the investigation, Agents determined that the allegations were false and that Callie Marie Veale (DOB 06/06/85) was the individual responsible for fabricating the information.
On Wednesday, Veale was arrested and charged with one count of False Reports. She was booked into the Washington County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
