RIPLEY – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Ripley Police Department and the United States Marshals Service has resulted in the arrest of an Alamo man in connection with a double shooting in Ripley.
At the request of 25th District Attorney General Mark Davidson, on Sunday, TBI Agents joined the Ripley Police Department in investigating a shooting that occurred that evening at a home on Church Street. A visitor of the home, William Black (DOB: 10/27/89), died as a result of his injuries. Another visitor was critically wounded. During the course of the investigation, Agents identified Terry Johnson as the individual responsible for the shootings.
On Monday, Terry Lee Johnson (DOB: 4/23/80) turned himself in to the Lauderdale County Jail. He is charged with one count of Second Degree Murder and one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder. He has a bond of $350,000.
