NASHVILLE – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the indictment and arrest of a Fayetteville man on charges of unlawful photography.
At the request of 17th District Attorney General Robert Carter, on February 6th, TBI Agents began investigating a complaint made against Andrew Williams of Fayetteville. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that Williams accessed the victim’s phone while she was asleep, and took photos of her partially covered, without her consent. The investigation revealed Williams sent those photos from her phone to a male acquaintance of the victim. Agents learned that on another occasion, Williams took screenshots of photographs of the victim from her phone, and sent those without her consent to another male acquaintance of the victim.
On Tuesday, the Lincoln County Grand Jury returned indictments charging Andrew Laten Williams (DOB 06/23/1986) with two counts of Unlawful Photographing in Violation of Privacy. Williams was arrested on Thursday and booked into the Lincoln County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
