JACKSON – A joint investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Henry County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of two individuals, charged in connection with a September 23rd homicide.

At the request of 24th District Attorney General Matthew Stowe, on September 23rd, TBI Agents joined the Henry County Sheriff’s Office in investigating the murder of Joshua Josiah Hadra. The victim was found deceased in his vehicle parked at the Mini Mart at 9220 Highway 641 in Puryear, TN. During the investigation, Agents developed information that indicated that Phillip L. Nelson (DOB 3/4/1998) of Paris, TN and Ralph Vulpitta (DOB 8/11/1987) of Cottage Grove, TN were responsible for the death of Joshua Josiah Hadra.

On September 25th, both individuals were arrested on charges related to this homicide and are currently being held in Henry County Jail. Phillip L. Nelson (Left) is charged with First Degree Murder and is currently being held on a $500,000 bond. Ralph Vulpitta (Right) is charged with Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder and his bond is set at $400,000.
