MEMPHIS – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Munford man, and warrants have been issued for a second man, as the result of a shooting Tuesday in Atoka.
At the request of 25th Deputy District Attorney General Mark Davidson, TBI Special Agents joined deputies with the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office in investigating a shooting that occurred early July 4th at 312 Nivens Road in Atoka. The investigation revealed that a party at that residence was ending when a fight broke out, and a 19-year-old male was shot during that incident. Agents developed information that identified Dontarius Woods and Terrell Tate as the individuals responsible for the shooting. The victim is currently listed in stable condition.
Today, Dontarius Terrell Woods (DOB 1/28/1998) was charged with one count of Attempted First Degree Murder. He was booked into the Tipton County Jail, where he is being held without bond until his arraignment on Friday. Agents took out a warrant charging Terrell Devante Tate (DOB 1/10/1995) with one count of Attempted First Degree Murder.
