JACKSON – A joint investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and officers from several other west Tennessee law enforcement agencies has resulted in the arrest of a Pocahontas man on a charge of first degree murder.
At the request of the office of 24th District Attorney General Matt Stowe, TBI Special Agents joined officers with the Savannah Police Department, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Department and the McNairy County Sheriff’s Department in investigating the shooting death of 26-year-old Brandon Josheau Davis. Around 6:20 Saturday morning, officers with the Savannah Police Department responded to a 911 call at an apartment at 120 Robemma Street. When they arrived, they found Mr. Davis deceased. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that led them to Billy Lynn Tomlinson as the individual responsible for the death.
Saturday night, Agents arrested Tomlinson, 34. He is charged with one count of First Degree Murder. He was booked into the Hardin County Detention Center and is being held without bond pending an arraignment.
