JACKSON – A joint investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and investigators with the Tennessee Fire Investigative Services has resulted in the arrest of a Camden woman on charges of arson and insurance fraud.
At the request of 24th District Attorney General Matt Stowe, TBI Special Agents joined investigators with the TFIS in investigating an early morning fire Thursday at a residence at 201 South Point Drive in Camden. The Benton County Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. During the course of the investigation, multiple points of origin of the fire were discovered within the structure. The investigation further revealed that the homeowner, Wanda Hensley, was the individual responsible for that fire.
On Thursday, Hensley, 67, was arrested and charged with one count of Arson and one count of False or Fraudulent Insurance Claim. She was booked into the Benton County Jail, where she is being held on a $10,000 bond.
