JOHNSON CITY – Special Agents in the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Drug Investigation Division, working alongside the 1st Judicial District Drug Task Force, have obtained indictments for two men accused of selling drugs in a Drug-Free Zone.

At the request of the Task Force, TBI Agents joined the investigation into Michael Lynn Ward and Adam Wayne Blevins on October 8, 2015. During the course of the investigation, authorities observed Ward (who owns Ward Towing on West Market Street in Johnson City) and Blevins selling morphine tablets on several occasions near a school.

On March 7th, the Washington County Grand Jury returned indictments, charging Ward (LEFT BELOW), 53, of Johnson City, with three counts of Sale of Schedule II in a Drug-Free Zone. The Grand Jury also returned indictments for Blevins, 38, of Johnson City, with two counts of Sale of Schedule II in a Drug-Free Zone. Today, authorities subsequently booked both men into the Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond each.
