CHATTANOOGA – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in a Soddy Daisy woman being indicted for filing a false report and aggravated perjury.
On January 21st, at the request of 11th District Attorney General Neal Pinkston, Special Agents and deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office began investigating Christina Starnes Evans on a complaint of filing a false report and aggravated perjury, stemming from an incident that occurred in October 2014.
On Tuesday, the Hamilton County Grand Jury returned indictments charging Evans with one count of Aggravated Perjury and two counts of Filing a False Report. On Thursday, Evans, 27, turned herself in to the custody of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, where she was booked and released after posting $7,500 bond.
