KNOXVILLE – Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have obtained an indictment for a Bradley County woman accused of falsifying a report alleging a sexual assault by a Cleveland, Tennessee police officer.
At the request of 4th District Attorney General James Dunn and 10th District Attorney General Stephen Crump, TBI Special Agents began investigating the allegation against Officer Carlton Walls on August 7th. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that the report provided by Kimberly May Minor, alleging the assault occurred on July 31st in Sevier County, was not truthful.
Today, the Bradley County Grand Jury returned an indictment, charging the 31-year-old Cleveland woman with one count of Filing a False Report. She was subsequently arrested and booked into the Bradley County Jail, where at the time of this release, she was being held on $5,000 bond.
