NASHVILLE – Just hours after being placed on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Top Ten Most Wanted list, Desiree Alexus Hester was arrested in Nashville.

Hester, 19, was taken into custody around 9:00 p.m. CST at an apartment in the 600 block of South 7th Street in Nashville after Special Agents developed information as to her whereabouts. The arrest was a joint effort with the TBI and the U.S. Marshals Service. Hester was added to the Top Ten list late Tuesday afternoon. She was wanted by the Chattanooga Police Department on charges of Carjacking and Aggravated Assault. On March 30th, Hester, Tyrell Flenoy and three females were pursued by the Georgia State Police into Chattanooga. Hester and Flenoy fled the vehicle after the pursuit. Shortly afterward, Hester committed a carjacking, striking the victim with the car as she fled the scene. She was believed to be traveling with Flenoy. He was not with her at the time of her arrest.

Desiree Hester is currently being booked at the Davidson County Jail, where a hold will be placed on her until her transfer to Hamilton County. A booking photo is not yet available.
