KNOXVILLE – The most recent addition to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Top Ten Most Wanted list, Lonnie Vann, was captured Friday night in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was added to the Most Wanted list one week ago.
TBI Special Agents developed leads that Vann was in South Carolina. Last night around 7:30 p.m., Myrtle Beach Police officers spotted the white Chevy Captiva Vann was driving on Highway 501. Vann was taken into custody without incident following a traffic stop. Officers with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force assisted in the apprehension of Lonnie Vann.
Vann is wanted by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on two counts of armed robbery from an incident December 5th on Deerfield Way in Lafollette.
Vann is currently being held in the Myrtle Beach Jail without bond pending a hearing before a judge. The Jacksboro man is expected to be held on a Fugitive from Justice warrant until he can be extradited to Tennessee.
