ACCOUNTANT 2, TBI HEADQUARTERS

JOB DUTIES
Responsible for auditing and processing employee expense claims and making sure travel paperwork is in order, including the payment of any applicable training and registration fees. Audits and processes confidential funds for Special Agents. Creates internal financial statements, assists with the annual budget, and conducts research of expenses/revenues. Oversees the state payment card program for TBI. In addition, will supervise Accounting Technicians.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and experience equivalent to one year of full-time professional accounting or auditing work. OR
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree including thirty-six quarter hours in accounting and experience equivalent to one year of full-time professional accounting or auditing work.
Substitution of Graduate Education for Experience: Graduate coursework credit received from an accredited college or university in accounting may substitute for the required experience on a month for month basis to a maximum of one year (e.g., 36 graduate quarter hours in the above listed field may substitute for one year of the required experience). OR
Designated as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

SALARY RANGE $3,023 – $4,835

LAW ENFORCEMENT INFORMATION COORDINATOR
CJIS (CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SYSTEMS) TRAINER
TBI HEADQUARTERS

JOB DUTIES
Responsible for the development of curriculum and instructional material for Tennessee Information Enforcement System (TIES) classes and the annual conference. Prepares multiple PowerPoint presentations and conducts classes throughout the year. Performs administrative support duties for all CJIS training activities including TIES, Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System (TIBRS) and National Data Exchange (N-DEx) programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree with at least 36 quarter hours in Computer Science or Criminal Justice. OR Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate’s degree with a major in Criminal Justice or Computer Science and two years of full-time experience in law enforcement; or processing, receiving, filing and/or disseminating crime and criminal information in a criminal justice agency may substitute for the required education. OR Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and one year of full-time experience in law enforcement; or processing, receiving, filing and/or disseminating crime and criminal information in a criminal justice agency.
