NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has obtained additional indictments for a Giles County man already convicted of rape.
At the request of 22nd District Attorney General Mike Bottoms, TBI Special Agents began investigating Maurice Dale McAllister on April 30, 2012. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information which, in December 2013, contributed to a jury convicting McAllister of one count of Rape. A judge subsequently sentenced him to serve 12 years in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Correction.
As part of the case, investigators executed a search warrant at McAllister’s residence at 2750 Big Dry Creek Road in Pulaski. During the search, Agents, along with members of the Giles County Sheriff’s Department, discovered several pieces of digital evidence which revealed five digital images later classified as child pornography.
On Wednesday, May 14th, the Giles County Grand Jury returned indictments for the 83-year-old, charging him with five counts of Especially Aggravated Exploitation of a Minor. Today, he was served with the charges and remains in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Correction. McAllister is currently awaiting trial on 17 additional charges in connection to the case, including several of Aggravated Rape and Sexual Battery.
