JOHNSON CITY – The Tennessean Bureau of Investigation has obtained indictments for a Jefferson County woman charged with Theft and Official Misconduct.

At the request of 4th District Attorney James Dunn and Jefferson County Sheriff Bud McCoig, on March 20th, TBI Special Agents, with the assistance of the State Comptroller’s office, began investigating Teresa Marie Crusenberry, who worked as a purchasing agent for the Jefferson County Finance Department. During the course of the investigation, agents determined that around January 2011, Crusenberry started using county finances for personal gain and continued doing so until the misappropriation of funds was discovered in March 2014.

On Monday, the Jefferson County Grand Jury returned an indictment for the 45-year old Dandridge woman, charging her with Theft over $60,000 and Official Misconduct. Crusenberry was booked in the Jefferson County Detention Facility, where her bond was set at $10,000.
