JACKSON – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested and charged a man accused in connection to an early-morning homicide.
With the assistance of the Camden Police Department, and at the request of 24th District Attorney General Hansel McCadams, TBI Special Agents began investigating the shooting death of a 47-year-old man this morning. Authorities found the body on Rowsey Street in Camden. Investigators arrested the subject believed to be involved in the shooting, Eddie Lee Laws, and subsequently booked him into the Benton County Jail on a charge of Felon in Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
As the case develops, the possibility exists for additional charges for Laws. At the time of this release, the 52-year-old Camden man was being held without bond until his first court appearance. The motivation, relationship between the two men, and the circumstances of the incident remain under investigation. Currently, the identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
