NASHVILLE-The recent addition to the state’s Top Ten Most Wanted list, Joshua Adam Comer of LaFollette, was captured in Campbell County just hours after his addition to the list.

Within the last hour of this release, Joshua Comer was taken into custody by deputies of the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department. Comer was arrested at 822 Whitman Hollow Road in LaFollette without incident. His arrest was made through a cooperative investigation by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department, the US Marshal’s Great Smoky Mountain Fugitive Task Force and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Joshua Comer was wanted by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for the murder of his girlfriend’s 3 year old daughter on June 10, 2014. A Campbell County Special Grand Jury indicted Comer for First Degree Murder. The young girl’s mother was also indicted for Aggravated Child Abuse and is currently in custody for the same incident.

Comer will be booked into the Campbell County Jail and held without bond.
