NASHVILLE-The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Lawrenceburg man in connection to a theft case involving thousands of gallons of fuel.

At the request of District Attorney General Mike Bottoms, the TBI began investigating Gregory Brant Svetkovich on January 24, 2014. Special Agents determined Svetkovich, a former employee of Doss Brothers Inc., kept a company gas key after ending his employment in 2012, with which he continued to charge fuel purchases to the construction company’s accounts at Wilson Oil Company until January 2014. In all, investigators determined the Lawrenceburg man stole 4,772.6 gallons of fuel, at an estimated value of $17,654.13.

A Lawrence County Grand Jury subsequently returned an indictment for Svetkovich, charging him with one count of Theft over $10,000. On Friday afternoon, a TBI Special Agent arrested the 27-year-old without incident. After posting $10,000 bond, Svetkovich was released from the Lawrence County Jail.
