The TBI began investigating the 43-year-old Powell resident on March 4th, at the request of District Attorney General Randy Nichols. His office, along with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, assisted in the investigation. Earlier, the Sheriff’s Office placed Mills on administrative leave without pay.
At the time of this release, Mills was being held in the Knox County Sheriff’s Detention Facility on a $250,000 bond.
