MEDICAID FRAUD CONTROL UNIT, DAVIDSON COUNTY
JOB DUTIES
Responsible for assisting in the investigation and supporting the statewide investigation of a wide variety of health care providers, to include doctors, dentists, ambulance services, pharmacists, home health agencies, hospitals, mental health centers, nursing homes, podiatrists, physician assistants, nurse anesthetists, nurse practitioners, physical, speech and occupational therapists, group homes and family care homes. Analyzes and investigates Tenncare/Medicaid fraudulent billings. Provides assistance to Unit investigators, prosecutors, and medical consultants retained by the Unit in investigations of the physical abuse of patients residing in facilities enrolled as TennCare providers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and experience equivalent to three years of full-time increasingly responsible professional nursing work. Qualifying full-time experience in nursing may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years. Additional graduate coursework in nursing may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of one year.
MONTHLY SALARY RANGE $4,252 – $6,804
