COOKEVILLE, TN-The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the White County Sheriff’s Office and the 13th District Attorney General’s Office conducted an investigation into a homicide that occurred at a Dollar General store on Robert Mathews Highway in Cookeville.
On February 9, 2014, at approximately 7:45 PM, a female victim identified as Jill Farley, age 36 of Cookeville, drove into the parking lot at the Dollar General. She waited in the car while her passenger went inside the store. A clerk inside the store saw a struggle inside of Farley’s vehicle. The clerk and Farley’s passenger went outside to the car and saw that Farley was severely injured. The clerk called 911 and advised that he saw a male and a female get into a dark colored vehicle and left out of the parking lot in a hurry. Jill Farley was transported to the hospital and later succumbed to her injuries at Cookeville Regional Hospital.
After a thorough investigation from all agencies, the case was presented to a White County Grand Jury on February 13, 2014. There was an indictment returned for one count of Felony Murder and one count of Aggravated Robbery for 36 year old Brian Logan, aka Allyn Hodges and 26 year old Miranda Brown of Sparta, TN.
They are both currently being held at the White County Jail on drug charges. They were both served with the murder and robbery charges while in custody.
