NASHVILLE- The state’s recent addition to the Top Ten Most Wanted list, Dequan Hasani Bertrand of Antioch, TN was captured.
This morning at approximately 7:45 AM, members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force went to a residence on Rural Hill Road in Antioch, where one of Bertrand’s relatives resided, to inquire about Bertrand’s whereabouts. Bertrand was located inside the residence and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Williamson County Jail.
Dequan Hasani Bertrand was wanted by the Brentwood Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Currently, Brentwood Police have charged Bertrand with one felony count of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, one felony count of Aggravated Robbery and one felony count of Aggravated Burglary.
On October 12, 2013, at approximately 7:40 in the evening, two male suspects forced their way into a residence on Moores Lane in Brentwood, TN. Upon forceful entry of the home, one suspect held members of the residence at gunpoint, while the other suspect ransacked the house. Prior to leaving the home, the suspects forced the members of the residence into a bathroom. The total of the items stolen were valued at approximately $2,400 dollars. Further investigation revealed that the victim’s credit card was used, which led to Bertrand’s identification in this case. Bertrand is currently under investigation by the Belle Meade Police Department and the Metro Nashville Police Department for similar crimes.
