Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Scott County Sheriff’s Office yesterday arrested a charged a Scott County man with a homicide that occurred over the weekend.
Gerald Nelson, 50, of Helenwood, was arrested on one count of criminal homicide for shooting 31-year-old Dustin Gunter to death at Nelson’s residence located at 809 Logap Road. One April 13, 2013, Gunter and his girlfriend were staying overnight at Nelson’s residence was the two men began arguing over $400 and gunfire erupted. Gunter was found shot to death in the kitchen area of the residence.
Nelson was booked into the Scott County Jail on $250,000 bond.
