NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Giles County Sheriff’s Office arrested 14 individuals today in a drug round-up as the culmination of an investigation into illegal drugs in the Giles County area. The subjects were indicted by a special session of the Giles County grand jury yesterday.
The joint investigation concluded with the indictments after the investigation opened in December 2012. The subjects were arrested today at various locations throughout Giles County. The drugs involved in the operation included illegal prescription narcotics, cocaine, crack cocaine, synthetic marijuana and methamphetamine being within 1000 feet of various drug free zones. Search warrants were also executed today that yielded additional evidence in the case.
