NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today put an Alabama man on the state’s Top Ten Most Wanted list after he was charged with raping a 4-month-old baby.
Anthony Dean Blackwell, 24, last known address 3012 Johnson Road, Huntsville, Ala., is wanted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Pulaski Police Department on one count of rape of a child. On June 9, 2013, Blackwell was babysitting a 4-month-old baby at a residence in Pulaski. When the infant’s mother returned home, she noticed signs of trauma later determined to be injuries suffered from sexual abuse. The victim underwent surgery at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital to repair the injuries.
Blackwell is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 6’, weighs approximately 225 pounds and has a tattoo on his right arm. Blackwell has a criminal history that includes public intoxication, reckless driving, evading arrest, vandalism, traffic and noise violations, and driving under the influence. His arrests took place in Pulaski as well as Maury County.
Law enforcement believes that Blackwell may be in the Pulaski or Huntsville area. There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
