JOB DUTIES
Responsible for reviewing crime incident data at local law enforcement agencies and colleges/universities for accuracy and completeness. Reviews take place on site and involve frequent overnight travel. Provides technical assistance to the same agencies/colleges for help with reporting crime incidents to TBI; Monitors data on a frequent basis using a web-based product to ensure agencies/colleges are contributing data according to state statute.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate’s degree with a major in Criminal Justice or Computer Science and two years of full-time experience in law enforcement; or, Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and one year of full-time experience in law enforcement. Additional graduate coursework in Computer Science or Criminal Justice may substitute for one year of the required experience (36 graduate quarter hours in Computer Science or Criminal Justice may substitute for one year of experience). Full-time experience in law enforcement may be substituted for the required post-secondary education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.
SALARY RANGE $2,289 – $3,662
