Nashville, Tenn. – A South Carolina man was arrested today after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation charged him with failing to pay hotel taxes collected from customers to the City of Brentwood and Williamson County while managing a Brentwood hotel.
Andrew Cajka, 54, of Greeneville, South Carolina was charged with seven counts of delinquent taxes. While operating as Brentwood Hospitality, LLC and managing Wingate Inn on Carothers Parkway, Cajka did not pay hotel taxes between May 2012 and November 2012. A search warrant was executed in December 2012 where financial records were obtained. TBI determined that the total amount unpaid during that time period was $43,462. The seven counts are for each month the taxes went unpaid. Cajka was booked into the Williamson County Jail.
