Cookeville, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested two men on drug charges during an undercover operation in Cookeville yesterday and seized marijuana, money and a weapon.
Andrea Peter-Neil Aarons, 31, of Covington, Ga. and Mohamed Basiro Danso, 43, of Atlanta, Ga. were both arrested on charges of trafficking a Schedule VI drug for resale between 10 and 70 pounds in the parking lot of a local motel located on Jefferson Street in Cookeville. Last night at approximately, 6:30 p.m., TBI Special Agents made the arrests and seized 31 pounds of marijuana packaged in brick form, $9,750 in cash and a .40 caliber pistol.
The subjects were taken to the Putnam County Jail and booked on a $200,000 bond. The Cookeville Police Department- CNet team, the Tennessee Highway Patrol and Middle Tennessee HIDTA task force assisted in the arrests.
