Memphis, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation canceled the endangered child alert last night issued for a missing 5-month-old boy out of Cookeville after the child was safely recovered in Memphis.
Ronald Flanigan was returned to authorities by an unknown family member. He is now in state custody. TBI issued an endangered child alert yesterday on behalf of the Cookeville Police Department after authorities were unable to locate the child and it was determined he was with his mother and father, Amanda and Ronald Collins, who had a court order filed against them removing him from their care. The vehicle they were traveling in was also recovered in the Memphis area.
Bond conditions were put in place against Ronald Collins when he bailed out of jail on Sunday on an aggravated assault charge requiring him to have no contact with Amanda Collins or Ronald Flanigan. There are no warrants for Ronald and Amanda Collins at this time. They have not been located.
