Knoxville, Tenn – The Marshals Service from the Eastern District of Tennessee announced Friday that Brandon Donaldson was arrested by deputy U.S. Marshals in Rockford, Illinois.  After almost a month-long manhunt by the Knoxville Police Department, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Marshals Service, Donaldson was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service at approximately 4:30 pm EST today. Donaldson has been removed from the TBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted list since his capture.

Donaldson was wanted by the Knoxville Police Department for the February 13 shooting death of 19 year-old Marcia Crider. Crider was 13 weeks pregnant when she was shot to death in front of her mother.

Deputy U.S. Marshals in Rockford, Illinois made the arrest after the Knoxville investigation led them to an apartment complex in Rockford. Donaldson and Alexander Branner, Donaldson’s brother, left an apartment and managed to get into a car as the deputies were closing in.
