Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today arrested the man involved in a shooting incident with the Mount Juliet Police Department and charged him with aggravated assault.
On December 15, 2012, Mount Juliet police officers were called to 56-year-old Michael McNabb’s residence on Stonegate Drive after a family member reported that McNabb had a gun and was threatening suicide. McNabb stated to an officer on the telephone that if police came to his residence, they would be shot. When officers arrived at his home, McNabb appeared on the front porch with a handgun and refused commands from officers to drop his weapon. When he pointed a gun at an officer, the officer fired two rounds hitting McNabb once in the chest. He was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries and released today. TBI does not release the names of officers involved in shootings, but refers to each individual agency to handle information concerning its employees. McNabb was charged with one count of aggravated assault and booked into the Wilson County Jail on $75,000 bond.
