Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation last night arrested a Smith County man on sex charges involving a minor victim after an investigation was requested by the 15th Judicial District Attorney General’s office.
Frank Arthur Young, 26, of Carthage, Tenn. was indicted yesterday by the Smith County Grand Jury on 12 counts of statutory rape and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor. On October 3, 2012, TBI opened an investigation into allegations against Young that involved one minor male victim. The investigation revealed that between June 2010 and March 2012, Young engaged in a sexual relationship with the child on numerous occasions and exchanged explicit photos of the victim via his cell phone.
Young was booked into the Smith County Jail on $50,000 bond.
