The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was requested by the 17th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office shortly before noon today to respond to a triple murder where the victims were discovered inside a residence located at 3264 Huntsville Hwy in Fayetteville to investigate with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. TBI dispatched field agents to investigate along with the Violent Crime Response Team out of the Nashville Crime laboratory to assist in gathering evidence at the scene. Two adults and one child were found dead and cause of deaths are unknown at this time. Additionally, there is a surviving child at the scene. Agents are working to make positive identifications of the victims and notify next of kin. The bodies will be taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. No arrests have been made as investigators are working to develop suspects.
